IMPORTANT NOTES FOR PARENTS
	Ruff ‘n’ Tumble is committed to helping you and your child enjoy and benefit from our specially designed structured classes

Parents are expected to work with their Ruff 'n' Tumble Babies, and you can best do this in the following ways:

Children quickly gain confidence when allowed to do things for themselves, but their concentration is poor, and parents should always be alert to support and encourage when necessary. It is best if you hold your baby round the waist for balance, whilst on the equipment. Please can you put your child's name on his T-shirt, and let him wear it to each session Song – time: Group activities help develop social, language and listening skills. We would appreciate if you can encourage your child to watch and join in by taking part in the singing and actions. Even if your child is shy of participating in the class, practising the song at home all helps to build your child's confidence.

As a Ruff 'n' Tumble Gym Baby your child will develop the following skills:
	Physical skills: playing, exploring, and crawling. Fitness and health. Learning numbers, shapes and patterns. Challenging and enjoyable and fun sessions. Confidence. Language, vocabulary and listening skills. Social skills.

When children start to walk confidently they can move up from the Gym Baby class to the Gym Pups.
	These classes offer children, again with the assistance of their parents, the opportunity to explore through free play a wide variety of movement experiences, gently encouraging the confident walker to attempt climbing, jumping and rolling. All aimed to stimulate body awareness.
